Vice Provost, Research The University is seeking a founding Vice Provost, Research who will advance AKU's commitment to excellence in inter- and multi-disciplinary research across all its campuses. Reporting to the Provost, you will play a key role in the creation, approval and implementation of the University's research plan, ensure compliance to research ethics and country-specific regulatory requirements and advance the University's research funding portfolio. You will be an innovative and strategic research expert with a PhD and a strong commitment to inter-disciplinary research. You should have a track record of securing large external grants and of leading fundraising efforts for research.
University Registrar AKU has over 2,700 students in academic programmes in Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the United Kingdom. Reporting to the Vice Provost, Students, you will provide leadership to enhance student experience across the University. You will oversee the integrity of student records, the University's student information system, enrolment management, issuance of transcripts and management of convocation ceremonies. You will have leadership experience and expertise in a wide range of registrar's' operations in a complex academic environment. Experience in an international environment would be an advantage.
Director, English Language Enhancement Network The Network provides high quality services and impactful solutions to support students and staff to develop the English language skills needed for effective teaching, learning and writing. Reporting to the Provost, you will set the strategic direction and oversee the implementation of the University's Language Policy, enhancing English language capacity across all campuses. You should have at least a master's degree in English language education with significant teaching, administrative and leadership experience and a passion for enhancing English language proficiency for those with English as a second language.
