MEDICAL AND DENTAL COLLEGES' AD ISSIONS TEST [MDCAT! 2019 20
Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Quetta being the "Admitting University" for Balochistan invites applications from eligible candidates for admissions in Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges of Balochistan and also for reserved/allocated seats for Balochistan in other Medical and Dental Colleges/Institutions of Pakistan.

1. (a) The candidate must have passed obtaining minimum sixty five (65%) (only for candidates having local/domicile of Balochistan province) marks in Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or ESc (Pre-Medical) or Intermedidate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examinations having minimum twelve years of education from Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Balochistan, Quetta or any other recognized Board or University of Pakistan
OR (b) The candidate must have passed equivalent examination from inside or outside Pakistan obtaining minimum sixty five percent (65%) (only for candidates having local/domicile of Balochistan province) marks in aggregate with at least three science subjects i.e Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics and such course must have been duly certified by the Inter Boards Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Islamabad as if he/she applies for admission on the basis of GCSE or American/Canadian High School Examinations or 'A' Level etc equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or F.Sc (Pre -Medical) or Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or equivalent level examination within Pakistan.
It is mandatory for candidates of Balochistan province to appear in MDCAT for admissions to any public sector Medical/Dental College/Institution of the province.
The candidate having Local/Domicile of any district of Balochistan can appear in MDCAT.
Mere appearance in MDCAT does not confer the right to apply for or claim admission to any Medical/Dental College/Institution.

A student obtaining a minimum of 70% (65% for students of Balochistan) marks in ESc or equivalent qualification and 60% marks in MDCAT shall be eligible for being entered into the merit lists. The minimum aggregate score is calculated by adding the percentages achieved in F.Sc and MDCAT and dividing by 2. i.e 50% wieghtage of the combined score. The minimum aggregate score that will be considered the minimum floor benchmark for a student to be entered into the 3 initial merit lists will be 70% for medical and 60% for BDS. Only after completion of the 3 initial merit lists, if there are seats that remain vacant. the Adimission Board will reduce the minimum floor benchmark of merit to allow students having obtained an aggregate score of between 65% to
