National Textile University, Faisalabad Foreign PhD Scholarships under Faculty Development Program
Applications are invited from Pakistani /AJK nationals for award of Ph.D scholarships for faculty development program of National Textile University. Sub Campus. Karachi in the field of "Textile(Clothing/ Garment/ Fashion) and Polymer Engineering". The selection of the candidates will be made purely on merit considering their academic credentials. The scholarship awardee will be required to serve at National Textile University, Faisalabad's sub Campus at Karachi as faculty member for a period of minimum 5-years after completion of Ph.D studies abroad.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria

PalustandAJKNabonals only Must have minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or first division (in the annual system) in MS/MPhiVEquivalenl degree (18-years education) with no 3rd division or Grade D in degree /certificate in the entire academic career c) Maximum age at the closing date of application: ° 40 years for candidates working in Government Organizations ° 35 years for fresh candidates d) The candidates must have acquired requisite qualification before the closing date of application. e) The candidates must obtain minimum 50 marks in HEC aptitude test (HAT). 0 The candidates viho are already availing any otter scholarships are not eligible to apply. g) The candidates shall be required to follow all the codalformalities as per HEC regulations before leaving for higher studies abroad.
Application Procedure
The candidates are required to submit application on the prescribed form available at university website or from Registrars office. The following documents are required to be submitted along with the application form: a) Attested copies of all educational testimonials b) Attested copy of domicile c) Attested copy of CNIC d)
Two page CV/resume e) Two recent photographs 0 Pay order/bank demand draft worth Rs.500/• (non-refundable) in favor of National Textile University, Faisalabad as a processing fee. g) Candidates who are already serving in Govemment/Semi-GovemmenVAutonomous organizations should apply through proper channel accompanied by NOC from employer. h) One page *Statement of Purpose" in the field of study i) Research proposal
Important Note
o All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of open merit. 6 Candidates must have a final degree in the relevant field of study. • HEC aptitude test (HAT) will be arranged and conducted by HEC for eligible applicants o The applicants are required to indicate the discipfines of the scholarship program on the envelope. * After the selection under scholarship program, the final grant of the scholarship shall be subject to the confirmation of admission of the candidate in the foreign university and selection by university selection board/BOG a Lecturer. O Candidates will be allowed to secure admission in those international universities/ countrieswithwhom HEC has signed agreement O Only short listed candidates will be called for interviews. • Awardees will have to execute a bond to serve in the NTU. Sub Campus Karachi for a minimum period of five years after completion of Ph.D. No request for change of university for the purpose of service bond will be entertained in any case. * NTU reserves the right to select or reject applications on the basis of selection criteria approved by HEC Scholarship Management Committee (HSMC). O In case of any omission/misrepresentation, NTU reserves the right to reject the application at any stage.
