REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Hiring for Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP)

Higher Education Commission, Islamabad has started a World Bank funded, Higher Education Devel-opment in Pakistan (HEDP), project. The services of eligible, motivated and professional candidates are required for HEDP based in Islamabad on contract basis. Applications are invited to fill the follow-ing positions:

 

S # NAME OF POST (S) AND TENURE NO. OF POST (S) - QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES 1 Consultant (ORIC/ BIC Mapping) One year (Extendable if required) One ? Must have a Post-Graduation degree (18 years of education) preferably with international academic exposure ? 10 years above diversified managerial level experience of working preferably with incubation, startups or innovative entrepreneurship domains ? Good knowledge of industry environment of Pakistan/technological advancements along with the international trends/competencies ? Demonstrated experience in capacity development initiatives ? Experience/sound knowledge of working and collaborating with stakeholders including the government, funding/donor bodies, academicians, etc. 2 Financial Management Specialists Two years (Extendable till completion of the project based on the performance) One ? Bachelor's/Master's degree (16 years of education) from a reputable national/international university ? At least eight years of experience in public financial management environment (preferably on PIFRA) on independent higher level assignments Knowledge of ERPs like SAP and management information systems with ? hands on command in Microsoft Office Preparation of annual cash plans. work plans and annual budget of the ? project Strong written and oral communications skills ? Proficiency in usage of office automation, project planning/management ? and statistical packages 3 Social Development Specialist One ? Post Graduate degree (18 years of education) in Social Sciences/ Development Studies ? At least eight years of experience in social management and gender related tasks/activities. ? Previous experience of working with World Bank or equivalent international standards is required ? Previous experience in conflict and citizen engagement ? Strong written and oral communications skills ? Proven report writing skills ? Proficiency in usage of computer desktop applications and office software packages 4 Assistant Programme Specialists Academic Two years (Extendable till completion of the project based on the performance) Three ? Bachelor's/Master's degree (16 years of education) from a reputable national/international University with at least 3.2 CGPA ? Experience in the post-secondary education sector is a plus ? Good working knowledge of Higher Education Procedures and Systems ? Hands-on experience of repor t writing ? Proficiency in the usage of computers desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and office software packages (word processing, spreadsheet etc.) and experience in handling of web-based data and information management systems ? Excellent writing. editing and analytical skills and capability of working independently. 5 Assistant Programme Specialists Academic (IT) Two years (Extendable till completion of the project based on the performance) One ? Bachelor's/Master's degree (16 years of education) from a reputable national/international University in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 3.2 CGPA ? Experience in working with databases and business intelligence tools will be considered an asset ? Experience in the post-secondary education sector is a plus ? Advanced proficiency in the usage of computers desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and office software packages (word processing! spreadsheet etc.) and experience in handling of web-based data and information management systems ? Good working knowledge of Higher Education Procedures and Systems ? Demonstrates good knowledge of information technology and applies it in work assignments
