The University invites applications from dynamic, qualified and energetic Pakistani Nationals for the following positions for appointment under TENURE TRACK SYSTEM for the School of Law, University of Okara:-

LL.M, J.D. or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution. 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Nil
LLB Degree (First Class) from an HEC recognized University/Institution. 6 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Nil

Associate Professor Ph.D in Law or equivalent degree from HEC recognized University/Institution.

10 years teaching/Research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
OR
5 years Post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. The applicant must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in the last five years) in HEC recognized Journals.


LL.M, J.D. in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution 12 years teaching/research experience (with at least 4 years experience after the post-terminal degree level) in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization The applicant must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC recognized Journals.
STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS UNDER TENURE TRACK SYSTEM

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
_ Qualification: Ph.D. Degree/Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized Institution) and excellent written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
Note: Ph.D. thesis of the local degree holders must have been evaluated by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of Ph.D. degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC for the purpose of Tenure Track appointment.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
_ Qualification: Ph.D. Degree/ Terminal Qualification in the relevant field (from an HEC recognized Institution).
_ Experience: 6-years Post-Ph.D. or minimum of 4-years of post-Ph.D. experience along with at least 6 years of experience prior to the Ph.D. (The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization)
_ Publications: 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission, i.e. research papers published in Journals that fall under the category W, X and Y for Social Sciences while for Science disciplines papers published in only W category (Impact Factor) Journals.

INSTRUCTIONS
• Foreign degree holders must provide equivalence certificate issued by the HEC
• All rules in letter & spirit of TTS version 2.0 are applicable.
• The candidates applying for the post of Associate Professor should submit six copies of applications alongwith six complete sets of testimonials/ research work/publications/photograph (1x1)/certificate ofany distinction etc., on the relevant prescribed form.
• The candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Professors/Lecturersare required to submit one copy of application on the relevant prescribed form alongwith attested copies of degrees/certificates/testimonials/photograph (1x1)/ certificate of any distinction etc.
• Candidates applying for the post of Associate Professors are required to submit a crossed bank draft/deposit in HBL of the University of Okara ofRs.5000/-. The candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Professor/Lecturer are, however, required to submit a bank draft/deposit in HBL of University of OkaraofRs.2000/-. The bank draft should be drawn in favour of the Treasurer, University of Okara, Okara.
• Prescribed applications forms are obtainable from the Admin Block, University of Okara Campus on payment of Rs. 100/- each and also available at the University website www.uo.edu.pk.
• Candidates already in service on TTS with any other University/Institution should attach clear NOC that if the candidate is selected, the University/Intuition will relieve him/her under the rules and if such an NOC is not attached with the application, such applications shall be rejected.
• If the candidate who has applied on TTS and selected in any other University during the process of selection , he/she would be required to send immediately an NOC from the employer, failing which the application will be rejected ab-initio.
• Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel by due date and submit service certificates issued by their present and former employers, otherwise, their applications will not be entertained. Incomplete applications (in any case) or those received after due date shall not be entertained.
• The candidates should attach a separate list of attached documents with signature.
• The candidates should mention the date of Notification/Result and time period of the degree in the relevant column of prescribed form.
• In case of Assistant Professor/Lecturer only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
• The University reserves the rights to increase/decrease the number of post, not to fill/withdraw any post, withhold the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
