DIRECTOR, INSTITUTE FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

The AKU Institute for Human Development seeks to develop new knowledge through research, deliver educational programmes, apply knowledge to practice in communities of interest, and influence policy so that it reaches a broad audience and creates a global impact. Reporting to the Provost of AKU, you will align the Institute with the university's vision, demonstrate achievement in key elements of its mission, and further consolidate the Institute within the framework of the university. This is a vital leadership role that grounds the Institute as a unique network of individuals committed to advancing the human development agenda. You should be an international leader with a PhD, an established record of research in the field of human development, and experience of working with and leading multi-disciplinary ? rogramrnes.
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OPHTHALMOLOGY
The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paetliatrie Surgery, Mast Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The Department has 115 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. You should have completed postgraduate training and possess FCPS, FRCS, American Board or equivalent with subsequent clinical, teaching and research experience. Preference will be given to candidates with specialty interest in Cornea (skills in advance corneal procedures like DALK, DMEK), Oculoplastics and. Peadiatric Ophthalmology. Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least three years of experience while applicants for Associate Professor should have eight years of teacliiitg/ research experience in a HEC recognized University with five years' post-terminal experience of teaching. In addition, you should have demonstrated scholarship through research. publications and/or contribution to education.
