The Interim Placement of F. PhDs (iPFP) Programme was initiated by Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2009 and implemented till Fiscel Year 2018-19. it provides employment to highly qualified fresh PhDs, and support Pakistani universities Placement under IPFP was on halt temporarily due to formulation of new policy. HEC has revised the placement policy and Phase-II of the Programme is now announced with revised Standard Ocerating Procedures (SoPs) for result based implementation of the programme.

• Pakistani/AJK nationals i • Maximum age at the time of applying 40 years . • t • Candidates must be unemployed. Those with suboptimal jobs (e.g., irregular, contract jobs) may also be allowed to apply. If selected, they will have to resign and submit a clearance certificate . i • PhD degree tem a Pakistani university or any HEG-recognised foreign university . • t • At least two research publicetions in HECirecognised journals or indexed journals . • Submissicn of PhD degree. HEC•attested or equivalence certificate issued by HEC . • • i • PhD completed within the past two years •
t • The selected candidate will be titled as 'IPFP • IPFP Fellow will be required to attend one.month mandatory training at National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) followed by an evaluation test before placement at Higher Educational Institutions (HEls). t • The IPFP Fellows are also entitled to get Stan.Up Research Grant . The process of grant will be initiated by t IPFP Fellow during NAHE training. • The IPFP fellows will be assigned a faculty mentor at the host universiry to guide them on major career•relaced issues. Faculty mentor will be asked to set academic targets and supervise their work in ; order to ensure a high degree of recearch productivity. t t • HEC facilitates in providing opportunity of placernent to IPFP Fellow at HEls, however, initial placement or ; regular employment is pure, responsibility of IPFP Fellow.
