About NCA
Producing World Class Cricketers
Team building is a much more thorough and painstaking process than it seems. Some of the prerequisites in this post modern era are back-ups and systems through which the young talent is groomed and equipped for international challenges over the years.

In the last three years PCB geared up towards enhancing the levels of excellence – in all spheres especially towards the development of infrastructure and establishment of NCA. The New Domestic Structure too is another step in that direction. We are quite optimistic that these steps would famously serve Pakistan Cricket in years to come.

Under the auspices of the Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB Cricket Coaching Academies are premiere facilities, which welcome gifted player from the regional, national as well as international cricket arenas, aimed directly at cricketers interested in furthering their professional acumen and learning from the best in the world (Pakistan’s own Ex-National Team Stars).

The new complex of National Cricket Academy contains all the modern facilities and reflects the Pakistani Architecture. National Cricket Academy (NCA) offers its entrants a unique combination of the most refined and effective coaching skill development programs found anywhere in the world today.

National Cricket Academy will also act as a finishing school for Pakistan “A” and various segments like U-15, U-17, U-19 that form part of this academy.
Vision Statement

National Cricket Academy envisions to act as an educational institution and a nursery to effectively tap and groom the young talent for the future. To have cricketers who right at the starting point of their career are aware of not just delicacy and refinement of the game but have the most modern outlook too.

National Cricket Academy is committed to make them strong, to think and act like leaders and to equip them with self-confidence in the face of adversity, on the field of play and off it.
Mission Statement

To produce quality players and meet the current and future challenges of international cricket, National Cricket Academy will act as a state of the art workshop and nursery to enhance performance levels by producing well-talented cricketer’s with well-rounded personalities.
This will be achieved by:
? Enhancing the skill set, consistency and qualities of leadership & team building.
? Using scientific methods and techniques and providing all necessary facilities.
? Careful planning & analysis of systems for continual improvement.
? Efficient and effective utilization of resources.
Objectives
? To introduce a system that would raise the standard of cricket in the country.
? To continuously produce well-talented and well-rounded cricketers.
? To maintain and provide all the most modern and latest material and human resources at all times.
Goals
? To become the leading cricket academy in the world.
? To produce atleast one international player out of every 50 trainees.
Facilities
National Cricket Academy
The National Cricket Academy holds clinics and coaching programs at ideal venues that work best to facilitate and stretch the learning curve of even the most mature and seasoned cricketers. As a major patron to world-class cricket, Pakistan also boasts some of the finest major cricket venues that the Academy utilises for its coaching and training purposes. Students can look forward to honing their skills in none other than the highly revered stadiums and cricket pitches where World Cup tournaments have been held. Uniquely innovative and the first of their kind “Indoor School facilities” further aid in the training process and are a permanent feature of the program. Some of the venues where students can expect to train while in Pakistan include:
? Gaddafi Stadium Lahore
? National Stadium Karachi
Bob Woolmer Indoor School
Outdoor Net Practice
Gymnasium
Swimming Pool
This unique feature for enhancing players’ techniques provides the players round the clock practice with latest facilities. This spacious indoor school has five super grass (synthetic) pitches of two different natures. The school is also equipped with bowling machines of international standards, which can narrow down the gaps in the player(s) through repeated trials.

Our indoor school will enable us to change the way the game is taught and played in the future. It will provide the essential year-round facilities and scientific capability to undertake in-depth analysis of our young cricketers' techniques that are important for developing good skills and preventing injury.

This five lane indoor cricket school will further expand the opportunities for players, coaches and even umpires to improve their game. In the hands of a good coach, it is the most effective of tools for batting practice and improvement. Just having the facility to watch a batsman playing against the same ball time and time again, gives the coach the opportunity to fine tune technique and rapidly eliminate flaws and weaknesses against a 'reference' ball.
The benefits of using a Bowling Machine are evident to the professional players who use them as part of their regular practice and training schedules. It is where the standards of net bowling are less consistent; the bowling machine comes into its own. For the frustrated batsman trying to improve a particular facet of his or her game, there is no better facility. The machine will do what almost no other net bowler can or wants to do.
Outdoor practice has its own advantages and importance for the development of technical and physical skills. This facility is extensively used to fine tune even the most advanced players' skill level. For this purpose, five pitches of international standards have been laid in the area, which can also be used for fielding and physical exercises.
It is fully-equipped with most modern and latest machines to facilitate all-season physical and cardio strength training, which are essential to the demanding stamina required for the program.
Swimming remains an important exercise for stamina building, endurance and overall fitness. Swimming is also a way to recover from injuries, or just to relax. It revs up your whole body without overstraining any particular organ.
NCA Programs
Everlasting Skills for Sure-Shot Cricket

The highly intensive and effective program offers a well-rounded & customized syllabus, which is taught under the vigilant supervision of well trained coaches and leading Pakistani National Cricketers. This level of training provides invaluable insight into the professional aspects of playing world-class cricket. Training methods and techniques are primed to ensure results, while providing players with skills and techniques that will last them a lifetime and get them on their way to playing at the highest international levels. The areas that players are exposed to for furthering their personal & professional development include:
? Systematic & Progressive Coaching Techniques
? Comprehensive Physical & Mental Skill Development
? Regularly Scheduled Trial Matches / Situational Exercises
? Teamwork & Leadership Skills Development
? Media Interaction Forums
? Mannerism & Etiquette
? Diet Control
? Social Skills & Confidence Building
? Spoken English & Communication Skills

3. Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited.
4. State Bank of Pakistan
? 3 Exclusive practice facilities for women are already being used by women cricketers in the underdeveloped areas, i.e. Multan, Peshawar and Quetta which have been highly beneficial to players. In addition PCB is in process of establishing 5 Academy’s in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Abbottabad and Rawalpindi/ Islamabad. These Academies will be equipped with all the allied facilities and will be run by a professional set up in order to train women cricketers as per International standards. Furthermore the staff at the 5 mentioned Academies will also be helping in exploring talent of nearby regions.
? In order to improve the standing of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, the PCB has been arranging two to three international tours annually, which has helped immensely in improving the overall performance of the team.
? PCB is planning to arrange more tours of the Pakistan A Team in order to further improve the game of emerging players and prepare them to play at International level. In addition it will help to increase the back up for the National Team.
Employment
