GENCO Holding Company Limited (GHCL) is the Managing Agent of following Government-owned Generation Companies (GENCOs) which are responsible for generating electricity efficiently and managing the Operations & Maintenance system of their Power Plants: i) Jamshoro Power Company Limited, Jamshoro (GENCO-1). ii) Central Power Generation Company Limited, Guddu (GENCO-11). iii) Northern Power Generation Company Limited, Muzaffargarh (GENCO-III). iv) Lakhra Power Generation Company Limited, Lakhra (GENCO-IV). GHCL is looking for high caliber energetic. pro-active. result oriented professionals to work as Chief Internal Auditor to be based at the GHCL Head Office, Islamabad and Head Office of any of the above mentioned GENCOs, located at site of each Company, to be a part of its senior management team, who can take the challenging assignments effectively.
JOB PROFILE
• The Chief Internal Auditor, who is the head of the internal audit function in the Public Sector Company, shall be accountable to the Audit Committee and have unrestricted access to the record. • To evaluate Accounting, Financial, Credit and other Operational activities as an independent appraisal function. • To ensure effective management of the Financial Resources of the Company. • To review and appraise the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting, Financial & Operational controls. • To formulate Internal audit programs in such a way that all aspects of financial transactions are audited. • To prepare reports observations, comments and recommendations based on carried outwork. • To develop an effective team of competent subordinates who understand and are able to discharge the obligations of their positions! jobs. • To undertake special investigation at the directives of the Audit Committee! Board of Directors. • To have liaison with the External and Commercial auditors of the Company. • Excellent communication, interpersonal time management and resentational skills.

The candidate must have at least five (05) years relevant audit experience and must be a: a) Member of recognized body of professional accountants; or b) Certified Internal Auditor; or c) Certified Fraud Examiner or d) Certified Internal Control Auditor; or e) Person holding a Master Degree in Finance from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
